نبذة عنّي

محمد جعفر هو شاعر و طبيب أسنان من منطقة جازان، المملكة العربية السعودية. حصل على درجة البكالوريوس في طب الأسنان من جامعة الملك سعود في الرياض ، المملكة العربية السعودية. حصل على درجة الماجستير في الصحة العامة (MPH) والزمالة السريرية في طب أسنان المجتمع (DPHc) بالإضافة إلى الزمالة الإكلينيكية في طب وجراحة اللثة (CPF) من جامعة كيس ويسترن ريزيرف في الولايات المتحدة.
في عام ٢٠١٩ ، حصل على درجة الدكتوراه (PhD) في طب أسنان المجتمع من كلية الصحة والطب وعلوم الحياة بجامعة ماستريخت في هولندا. كان نائب عميد كلية طب الأسنان بجامعة جازان للجودة والتطوير الأكاديمي بالمملكة العربية السعودية. كما شارك الدكتور محمد جعفر في العديد من مشاريع طب أسنان المجتمع العامة والمؤتمرات العلمية على المستويين المحلي والدولي بالإضافة إلى نشر العديد من الأوراق البحثية في المجلات المرموقة.
كان متحدثًا رئيسيًا في المؤتمر الوطني لسرطان الفم والمؤتمر الدولي الأول لسرطان الفم في المملكة العربية السعودية بالإضافة إلى مؤتمر تعليم طب الأسنان في أمستردام. لديه اهتمام في التحقيق في المسببات السلوكية وعوامل الخطر المحلية المرتبطة بسرطان الفم. ونتيجة لذلك ، في عام ٢٠١٧ ، تم تعيينه رئيسًا لفريق أبحاث المسببات السلوكية وعوامل الخطر المرتبطة بسرطان الفم في المملكة العربية السعودية ، من قبل اللجنة الدولية الأولى للتعاون في مجال سرطان الفم. 

حصل على جائزة أرامكو السعودية للخدمات المجتمعية عام ٢٠١٧. في عام ٢٠١٩ ، تم ترشيحه لجائزة منظمة الصحة العالمية (الشرق الأوسط) ، لعمله المتعلق بالوقاية من سرطان الفم.

ABOUT ME

Mohammed Jafer is a poet and dentist from the Jazan region of Saudi Arabia. He has completed his Bachelor’s degree in Dentistry (BDS) at King Saud University in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) and Dental Public Health Residency (DPHc) as well as a Clinical Periodontics Fellowship (CPF) from Case Western Reserve University in the United States. In 2019, he obtained his
doctorate degree (PhD) in Dental Public Health at Maastricht University’s Faculty of Health, Medicine, and Life Sciences, in The Netherlands. He is the former Vice-Dean of Jazan University Dental School for quality and academic development, Saudi Arabia. Mohammed Jafer has participated in several dental public health projects and scientific meetings at local and international levels as well as publishing several papers in reputed journals. 
He was a key-note speaker at the National Oral Cancer conference and the 1st International Oral Cancer conference in Saudi Arabia as well as a key-note speaker at the Dental Education conference in Amsterdam. He has an interest in investigating the behavioral contributions to oral cancer and its local risk factors. Consequently, in 2017, he was appointed as the Head of the Oral Cancer Behavioral and Related Risk Factors Research Team in Saudi Arabia, by the First International Oral Cancer Collaboration Committee, and was awarded the Saudi Aramco Prize for Public Services. In 2019, he was nominated for the WHO Prize (Middle East), for his work relating to the prevention of oral cancer.
